Only half of consumers know that fruit contains fructose - and just 22% believe agave contains it
Moving onto sugars, the survey results show that while 79% of consumers know fruit juice contains fructose, just 50% correctly identified fruit as a source, and just over a third (36%) believed table sugar contains fructose.
Even lower percentages believed agave (22%) and honey (28%) contain fructose.
