2012 marked the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the vitamin, a discovery — attributed to Casimir Funk — that set the stage for the 21st century’s multiple-billion dollar supplement and functional food industry.
In September, the U.S. Congress passed a resolution to recognize the event.
