The new ingredient – being launched officially at the upcoming SupplySide West show in Las Vegas – has been formulated with a min 650 mg per gram of DHA as triglyceride, and a total omega-3 content of 820 mg/g as triglyceride.
“DHA omega-3 has been shown to support brain, eye and heart health benefits for all stages of life including mothers-to-be, infants, children and adults” said Steve Dillingham, general manager of GC Rieber Oils.
“The scientific evidence supporting the benefits of DHA is overwhelming, thus provided us with a compelling reason to introduce a high DHA concentrate product to the market."
According to Atle Jacobsen, sales and marketing director of GC Rieber Oils AS, Norway, the company’s new fish oil concentrate plant in Norway uses proprietary enzymatic technology enables it to reach much higher levels of omega-3 than it has previously achieved.
“This will provide new global market opportunities for us and our customers. Product specifications and pricing for the new VivoMega 70 DHA Ultra are now available,” said Jacobsen.
