The rise and potential fall of DMAA

After months of heated debate about the source, safety and regulatory status of supplements containing DMAA, the FDA has finally taken a stance and issued warning letters to 10 manufacturers and distributors.

“Synthetically-produced DMAA (1,3-Dimethylamylamine) is not a dietary ingredient and is not, therefore, eligible to be used as an active ingredient in dietary supplements,”​ says the Agency.
