Listen up!! Could antioxidants help tackle hearing loss?
Among the usual flurry of antioxidant research papers was an Australian study revealing that increased intakes of antioxidant vitamins A and E may significantly reduce the risk of hearing loss. Click here.
The researchers, led by Professor Paul Mitchell, noted that reactive oxygen species may damage the inner portion of the ear associated with hearing, and therefore there is a hypothesis that antioxidants may counter this damage and reduce age-related hearing loss.
