ChromaDex seals deal with Cott and adds new line to bioactive ingredients stable
July was an exciting month for California-based ChromaDex, which struck a deal with drinks giant Cott Beverages to develop a proprietary ingredient blend combining its pTeroPure pterostilbene ingredient and a grape extract from Cott’s Star Phytonutrients division. Click here.
Less than three weeks later, ChromaDex announced news of a second deal to secure exclusive worldwide rights to a novel manufacturing process for NR (nicotinamide-riboside) from Cornell University.
A vitamin found naturally in milk, NR is a more potent version of niacin (vitamin B3) and a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), increased cellular levels of which have multiple health benefits. Click here for the full story.
