Chromadex-Bruker
Companies could soon have a Bruker Optics MPA Multi Purpose FT-NIR Analyzer (above) in-house, without any up-front capital costs, after Chromadex and Bruker announced a new program to provide near infrared spectrometer (NIR) technology created by Bruker Optics, and the phytochemical and botanical reference standard capabilities of ChromaDex.
The program will allow manufacturers to obtain in-house capabilities to perform raw material identity testing and determine if any adulteration has taken place.
Speaking with NutraIngredients-USA at the recent SupplyExpo in Anaheim, CA, Mark Jost,VP corporate development at Chromadex, said: "The beauty of the whole program is that everyone who participates in this program is on a pay-per-service basis. There are no up-front capital costs.
"The Bruker NIR unit - which is a very expensive piece of equipment - will be placed in the company's facilities and they will pay for it based on a pay-per-service basis," he added.
