Carotenoids conference
Experts from around the world met in Boston for the New Developments in Carotenoids Research conference at The Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University.
The two-day event, held March 11-12, featured world-renowned experts talking about beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, and lycopene. Here, Robert Russell, from Tufts University (standing with microphone), joins the expert panel of (from left to right) Helmut Sies (Heinrich-Heine University, Germany), Cathy Ross (Pennsylvania State University, USA), Johannes von Lintig (Case Western Reserve University, USA), Marjorie Haskell (University of California, USA), and Al Sommer (Johns Hopkins University, USA) to discuss the challenges and opportunities in beta-carotene research.
