Integrative Healthcare Symposium to explore nutritional aspects of healthy aging, heart health

This weekend’s 2011 Integrative Healthcare Symposium will explore a range of nutritional approaches for healthy aging and heart health, as well as how functional nutrition is related to chronic disease.

The conference program offers more than 40 sessions, workshops and seminars focused on nutrition, integrative oncology, endocrinology, brain & mind health, and leadership and policy.

In the nutrition track, topics include “Aging Well with Nutrigenomics and Molecular Medicine” by Robert Rountree, MD, “Functional Nutrition and Chronic Disease: An Innovative Approach for Primary Care Providers and Nutrition Professionals” with Elizabeth Boham, MD, RD, and Ruth DeBusk, PhD, RD, and “Cardiovascular Disease: Risk Factors; Testing/ Diet & Supplementation” with Ronald Hoffman, MD.

The event will take place from March 4-6, 2011 at the Hilton New York in New York City.

“Over the years, we’ve built a strong momentum with this event providing the integrative healthcare community with a place to network and hear from experts from a wide range of disciplines,” said Liz Plizga, Show Director, Integrative Healthcare Symposium.

The event will also have an exhibition on March 5 and 6, with over 120 companies showcasing a wide range of clinically-relevant products and services including nutritional supplements, functional foods and medicines.
