March 24 will see the National Products Association (NPA) and its supporters descend on Washington DC for the 12th consecutive year to drum up political support.

As in previous years, NPA representatives will visit Congressional member offices to educate them about key legislation and the “overwhelming public benefits of preventative care.”

NPA expects 100s of retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, and supporters of the natural products industry to attend as well as a “’virtual fly-in’ via e-mail and videos to rally for natural products.”

Focus issues include child nutrition, food quality and safety, safe manufacturing practices, and assured access to dietary supplements.

NPA executive director and CEO, David Seckman, said such days were vital, especially with “65 freshmen senators and representatives and their staffs beginning new terms on the Hill.”
