Canadian company Market-Wise Enterprises has managed to hold onto
its exclusive distribution rights for the cranberry supplement
CranMax in Canada, following a recent decision in a US court.

Canadian company Market-Wise Enterprises has managed to hold onto its exclusive distribution rights for the cranberry supplement CranMax on its home market.

A recent US District Court decision inBoston, Massachusetts also upheld Market-Wise's rights tothe entire Bio-Shield line of fruit powders produced by Cape Cod Biolab of Buzzard's Bay, Massachusetts.

"The ruling will eliminate confusion in the Canadian marketplace and willenable Market-Wise to continue expanding the market for these scientificallyproven, health-promoting products,"​ said president of the Milton, Ontario-based firmStephen Lukawski.

Lukawski added that Cran-Max, which uses 34 pounds of cranberries to produce one pound of the ingredient, is the onlydietary supplement proven in clinical trials to show preventative effects against urinary tract infections, experienced by at least 20 per cent of North American women each year.

Market-Wise also acts as advisors to the nutraceutical industryon strategic planning, product development and research and marketing.
