Pycnogenol® improves blood flow and cardiovascular risk factors

Published:01-Apr-2010

Type:Clinical Study

Recent research on Pycnogenol®, French maritime pine bark extract, demonstrates the ingredient’s natural properties for counteracting kidney damage often caused by hypertension.

The study, published in Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, included participants who used a combination of Pycnogenol® and anti-hypertensive medication Ramipril. The combination of products resulted in a significant additional decrease in damage-causing urinary proteins found in patients’ kidneys, as well as an increased reduction in blood pressure.

This study confirms that Pycnogenol® is an effective, natural solution for controlling the common, interrelated problems of hypertension and kidney damage.
