Pycnogenol® lowers inflammation and pain and improves mobility in arthritis

Osteoarthritis involves inflammatory processes which cause progression of cartilage degradation and pain.

Pycnogenol reduced inflammation (CRP -72%) and joint pain decreased by 56%. NSAID medication decreased by 58%, which had stomach problems improve in patients. Joint flexibility improved and patients could walk almost three times longer distances on a treadmill. This study outcome is in confirmation with two earlier arthritis studies with Pycnogenol.

In above double-blind, placebo-controlled, clinical study with 156 osteoarthritis patients took 100 mg Pycnogenol daily for 3 months. Symptoms were evaluated by WOMAC score.
