The Maltese Health Inspectorate Services has warned against pre-workout stimulant DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine/methylhexaneamine).

It said: “DMAA is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant, related to amphetamine, for which a safe level for human consumption has not been established.”

“Several documented cases of severe negative effects to the heart and brain indicate that consumption of DMAA, especially in combination with caffeine; pose a significant risk to health.”

The Inspectorate said Jack3D (USPlabs) and Lipo-6 Black (Nutrex) had been imported into the European island nation.
