Iron chelates proven less toxic in cancer study

A New York resident has brought a case against Californian company, Diamond Foods, for omega-3 claims being made for its walnut products.
The case is being mounted in a Californian federal court where Diamond’s claim that consuming its walnuts could, “promote heart health and lowers the risk of coronary heart disease” is under challenge.
The FDA has approved qualified health claims for both walnuts and omega-3s linking them to heart disease and coronary heart disease respectively.
