A seminar, entitled 'New Oat Bran Concentrate Enables FDA Heart Health Claim' is to be held at Natural Products Expo East tomorrow 5 October from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dr Gary Fulcher will address the latest clinical and nutritional results involving the heart health and cholesterol-lowering attributes of oat bran soluble fibre, plus concentrated oat soluble fibre and its effect on serum lipids.
James Prochnow, a partner at Patton Boggs law firm, will discuss regulatory compliance for products incorporating OatVantage, Oat Bran Concentrate (50 per cent Oat Beta-glucan) and the FDA-approved oat soluble fibre health claims when labelling food products and dietary supplements.
This seminar, sponsored by oat ingredient company Nurture and Flora, will be targeted at retailers, ingredient suppliers, marketing professionals and formulators.
