Swedish probiotics player Probi has inked a deal with US supplements maker, Jarrow Formulas, that will see products containing its Lp299v strains debut in the first quarter of 2010.
Jarrow becomes the exclusive distributor for Probi in the US dietary supplements market with the strain that is linked to the relief of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, constipation, abdominal cramps and bloating.
Probi CEO, Michael Oredsson, said in a statement: “The agreement with Jarrow Formulas is another important step in our company's strategy to make Lp299v available on a global scale.”
