The company's Tempe, Arizona manufacturing facility was granted organic certification by United States Department of Agriculture-accredited third party for "certified organic" status. This permits Nexgen Pharma to handle organic raw materials, manufacture, label, package and distribute organic dietary supplements for its contract manufacturing division.
"The organic certification uniquely positions our contract manufacturing services to meet the increasing demand for high quality, organic products," said Tina Mori, national sales manager of nutritional contract manufacturing with Nexgen.
The Natural Marketing Institute (NMI) identified growing popularity of organic products as one of the Top Ten Trends of 2007. The researcher reported consumers are willing to pay a 20 percent premium for such products.
Nexgen also has facilities located in Irvine, California, Phoenix, Arizona and Columbia, Missouri.
The contract manufacturer also provides for the pharmaceutical, medical foods and over-the-counter drug industries.
