During its annual trade show and convention held last week in Las Vegas, the organization installed Pat Sardell, owner of Country Vitamins, as the new president for a two-year term.

Newly elected or re-elected to the 22-member board were suppliers Bruce Barlean, Barlean's Organic Oils, Gary Barrows, Bluebonnet Nutrition, Tom Grillea, United Natural Foods, Inc(UNFI)/Select Nutrition Division, John Venardos, Herbalife, and Bruce Worley, Humphreys Pharmacal, as well as retailer Jeff Wright, Wright’s Nutrients.

NPA is also set to select a new executive director and CEO, after the resignation of David Seckman, who holds the position through July.

Seckman is leaving the group in order to take up a position to head the Food Processing Suppliers Association, which is an association of ingredient, services and equipment suppliers to the global food and beverage industries.
