Californian-based E.T. Horn will distribute BASF vitamins and carotenoids in 11 western and central states as the companies expand a previous relationship.
A BASF spokesperson said E.T. Horn’s knowledge of the area and the fact the two companies already had a working relationship, made the deal a no-brainer.
“We often work with distributors who are specialists in particular areas – it often makes better sense than trying to recruit staff in new regions,” she said.
E. T. Horn Nutraceuticals Group president, Kevin Salerno, said the deal helped fill out its own portfolio.
